Spree turns real places into interactive stories: you walk, explore and solve the story on your phone. Stories are shared by organizers, who give players a code to join.
Joining a story
- Open Spree and tap Scan a QR code, then point the camera at the code you were given.
- Or paste the code, or the whole invite link, into the Invite Token field on the same screen.
- If you opened an invite link before installing the app, open the link again, or copy the code shown on the page and paste it into the app.
Common questions
Check that Location is allowed for Spree in your phone's Settings. If it's off, the story shows "Location is off" with a button to open Settings.
If the story offers Continue without walking, you can use it to move on without reaching the place.
Open your phone's Settings, find Spree, and turn on Location, Camera, Microphone or Bluetooth. Each one is only used by the parts of a story that need it.
Group play uses Bluetooth to find players nearby. Keep Spree open on every phone while the group is together.
Codes can expire or reach their limit. Ask the organizer who gave you the code for a new one.
Deleting your data
In a story, tap ✕ and choose Quit and delete my data, or use the trash button on the code scanner screen. Your data is also deleted when you finish a story. See the Privacy Policy for details.
